— The Future Build
A sample of icons I recently completed for The Future Build on behalf of Wordsearch (a fantastic agency specialising in design communications for property and architecture).
The Future Build is a tool for construction professionals looking to identify and source green building products.

— Vintage type
This is really just random stuff I found yesterday whilst scrabbling around the interweb looking at vintage type. Granted, it is an odd selection, but each is nice in its own way.
— Beattie McGuinness Bungay
I simple idea, really well executed. The Information Blanket, a really useful tool in the fight against infant mortality in Uganda. Nice little website too.

A great collection of posters on view at Life.com. I love the message, 'So near yet so foreign'. Sorry about the LIFE logo, can't be helped.

— Ideas for home decorating
Highly unlikely that this will become a regular feature of this blog, but I just liked the idea of the enormous typographic message at the bottom of the bed. I can think of others but I won't go into it here. Please make suggestions at your leisure.

— Endeavour
An amazing photo of the launch of space shuttle Endeavour, but not by a professional photographer. Instead this one was taken by a passenger onboard a flight to Palm Beach, on an iPhone.
— East End Prints
Some very tempting prints over at East End Prints. These are from a collection of prints of old type, chosen by Wayne Hemingway.

— Philip Roth — recommended reading
He has just won the International Man Booker prize so it is with great timing that I recommend this book. A visceral, grinding tale of American life and identity. Grippingly told, brilliantly written.
— BTG Poster Series
Inspired by the International Style, Letraset catalogues and cassette tape covers. Simple graphic loveliness.

— Chad Hagen
I once had an illustration published in the same magazine as this guy. I wish I hadn't actually because his work was fantastic and showed me up a bit. He is a Minneapolis-based artist, designer, illustrator. Forever producing fresh, exciting and different work.

— The Future — Nice film poster of the week.
I have no idea if I will be able to post a decent film poster every week but this one I like. The film looks interesting too.

— Helmo, again.
Love this too. I could go on all day posting their stuff up but I have my own work to get on with.

— Helmo
I came to Helmo through some different work I found in the Data Flow book but upon exploring their website I found so much great work that I just had to post some here.
